I don't know what number this should be. When I went to the all-purpose carnival website to check, I found some numeric discrepancies there. So I'll leave it to Mr. Storyblog Himself to issue a ruling, and I'll fix the number as directed. ;>) As I made this discovery right at "presstime," there wasn't time for an e-mail exchange to happen.

It's been well over a year since I hosted a Carnival of any kind, and this is my first time at Storyblogging. It's been my sense that this is not a contest, really, but more of an aggregation of some short fiction works their authors would like to see a bit more widely-read. So I'm keeping my opinions out of it, shutting off my editor's voice and allowing the individuals to speak for themselves.
This isn't one of the bigger SBC's. What we have here is a handful of glimmering jewels. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!

Sheya Joie of 'Tales by Sheya' offers the next two chapters of 'the child' (first chapter here ). Part 3, chapters 20 and 21 add 4337 words to her 133,954-word trilogy-in-progress. Rating is PG, more or less.
Now that they need to escape the dungeons ahead of the guards scouring the place for them, the first team out finds that they have a good bit of 'favor' going for them...
...while the second team trying to get out finds that their 'favor' has apparently run out completely.
