I saw a Brent Bozell column at Townhall about a possible conflict of interest for CBS’ Katie Couric’s fundraising for her colorectal charity, and I decided to take it one step further by checking out the Entertainment Industries Foundation to see who else they support, and what media companies are involved by donations or volunteerism.
This was interesting and thought-provoking. Here are some of the more overtly-political organizations they support:

CHOICES currently has six major projects that focus on mentoring, relationship violence, safe sex behavior programming, nutrition and health, educational theatre presentations and HIV/AIDS prevention.
California Women's Law Center

In their About section, they say "CWLC prides itself on forging novel approaches to the problems that confront women and girls, proposing unique strategies to implement those approaches, and recasting issues in new terms."Haven Hills

At the Workplace Giving page, they have a list of all those who particpate. It says:
We thank the following entertainment based companies for their generosity and commitment to the Entertainment Industry Foundation. Because of their volunteerism, gifts-in-kind and monetary donations, we are able to continue to impact critical and social issues.
Among the news outlets are:
ABC
CBS
NBC
News Corp.
News World International
There are many more companies and trade unions listed.
Sonething to think about.
